Your data is securely protected and used only to provide and improve BetAssist’s
services. We never sell your personal information.
1. Information we collect
Account information — the email address (and optional name) you
provide when you sign up, managed through our authentication provider (Google
Firebase Authentication).
Usage data — the requests you make to the service (for example, the
sports, leagues, and date ranges you select) so we can generate your analysis and
improve the product.
Technical data — standard information such as IP address and
request metadata, used for security, abuse prevention, and rate limiting.
2. How we use your information
To provide the service — authenticate you and generate your requested analysis.
To secure the service — verify accounts, enforce rate limits, and prevent abuse.
To improve the service — understand how features are used and make them better.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Service providers
We rely on trusted third parties to run BetAssist, including Google Firebase
(authentication), our hosting provider(s), and the sports-data/AI providers that power
the analysis. These providers process data only as needed to deliver the service and
under their own privacy terms.
4. Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above,
in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA):
Account information (your email and optional name) — retained for as long
as your account remains open, and deleted when you close your account.
Transaction and financial records (purchases and payment records) —
retained for at least 5 years after the transaction, including after your
account is closed, because South African tax and financial record-keeping law requires it.
POPIA permits retention where the law requires it.
Usage and technical data (such as request logs used for rate-limiting and
abuse prevention) — kept only as long as needed for those purposes, then deleted or
anonymised.
We do not retain your data for advertising or profiling.
5. Security
We protect your data with measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), server-side
authentication, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly
secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your
personal data, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us at
admin@betassist365.com.
7. Children
BetAssist is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone
under the required age.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; the “Last updated” date above reflects the
latest version. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes
acceptance of the revised policy.
